Dr. Carpin was trained by top physicians in the field of both cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. After completion of her residency, Dr. Carpin advanced her training in Aesthetic Surgery as a visiting physician in Germany, gaining an international perspective. She enjoys art, exercising, and most of all, spending time with her children. She also keeps her reconstructive skills challenged by serving the community as a specialist for traumatic injuries at the local trauma hospital.

Dr. Carpin is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She was specially trained in plastic surgery, aesthetic surgery, and reconstructive surgery. Board certification requires extensive training in an accredited Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency program. Board certification requirements are strict, and certification includes completion of written and oral examinations and critical evaluation by peers in knowledge, ethics, and safety in surgical procedures. There is a difference between a cosmetic surgeon and a plastic surgeon. Cosmetic surgery can be performed by many surgeons, who may be from another specialty, and are not credentialed by a board with standards as high as the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

"I prioritize my patients’ goals while placing safety, results, and exceptional care at the forefront of everything I do." - Dr. Carpin

Dr. Carpin Q and A:

Being both female and a plastic surgeon, I tend to be more empathetic and spend more time with my patients. You will spend the most time with ME during your consultation, surgery, and post-operative care, compared to other surgeons. I am always accessible to my patients after surgery. Finally, I also offer comprehensive plastic surgery. My patients can return to me year after year to serve their needs.

I attended a six-year integrated Plastic Surgery residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch. During my training, I worked with over forty plastic surgeons across the country and learned extensive cosmetic and reconstructive techniques. I further continue my education with yearly attendance at medical conferences.

I commonly perform breast and body aesthetic surgery and breast reconstruction. I also perform facial procedures, fillers, Botox, and minimally invasive procedures.

Recovery varies for each patient and differs for each surgical procedure. In general, most patients are able to return to work in one week. Full recovery and return to a normal exercise routine usually takes four to six weeks. I see patients regularly after their procedure to monitor the healing process and ensure optimal results.

What I love about plastic surgery is that I can improve someone from head to toe. As a plastic surgeon, I am trained to be able to reconstruct or restore any part of the body. I truly enjoy performing all the different types of surgery. I love the variety plastic surgery offers, and the creativity each surgery offers.

Surgeries are performed on site. The plastic surgery center at our Webster, Texas, location is accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF), an independent, non-profit organization ensuring surgical centers maintain high safety standards.

During surgery, anesthesia is performed by board-certified Anesthesiologists and Nurse Anesthetists, ensuring the highest level of safety for my patients. Anesthesia options include general and deep sedation, while optimizing patient comfort and safety. For minor procedures, I can offer the patient an awake procedure with a local anesthetic in my office procedure room.
